GOA STATE POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD has strived to achieve a harmony between development and environment protection .The GOA STATE POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD is an autonomous statutory organization constituted on 1st July, 1988 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The GSPCB, after its constitution, established its office in the Goa Medical College Complex at Bambolim. In June 1991, the Government of Goa allotted independent premises for the Board at Patto- Panaji, where the Board shifted its’ office in September 1991.
The intention of GSPCB is to work for the cleaner and greener State of Goa and of the commitment towards sustainable development by ensuring the control, prevention and abatement of pollution of streams, wells, land and the surrounding environment.
The mission of GPCB is towards achievement of pollution free environment for better quality of life of the state, through effective implementation of the legislation and creating awareness among the public with emphasis on the process of recycling, reuse and restoration the natural resources of the state.
And therefore, GSPCB has announced ‘6th EnviroTech Asia 2023’ – an International Exhibition
and Conference in association with Radeecal Communications to accomplish the initiative and mission of Sustainable Environmental Practices by bringing in together the experts, bureaucrats, scientists, government organizations at a single networking platform.
